Paul Osborne, BSc., C.P.(c), FCBC

Paul received his certification in prosthetics in 1986. He has spent his career as a Certified Prosthetist providing children and adults, community ambulators and athletes, with the artificial limbs they required to give them optimum quality of life. Paul was granted the honour of Fellow of the Canadian Board for Certification of Prosthetics and Orthotics, now named Orthotics Prosthetics Canada, in 2006, acknowledging his contributions to the profession.

As co-owner and CFO of OrthoProActive Consultants Inc., Paul now focuses his attention to the administrative and financial aspects of the clinic’s needs.

Krista Holdsworth, BSc., CO(c), FCBC

Krista has been a certified orthotist since 1988, after passing the Canadian Board For Certification Of Prosthetists And Orthotists’ national certification exam.  She became co-owner and Director of Orthotics at OrthoProActive in 1993. With her background as a Kinesiology graduate, Krista has become a leading clinician in such specialized areas as paediatric orthotics and serial casting.  Ms. Holdsworth is an associate lecturer for the Clinical Methods In Orthotics and Prosthetics program through George Brown College and has held various positions with the national organization, OPC, and received her fellowship designation in 2014.

Elvy Lee, B.P.H.E., CO(c) 

Elvy joined OrthoProActive in 2015 and was certified with the Canadian Board of Certification for Prosthetists and Orthotists in 2016.  He is a graduate of the Clinical Methods in Orthotics and Prosthetics at George Brown College and has Bachelor of Physical and Health Education from the University of Toronto. Elvy has experience with patients of all ages who are affected by musculoskeletal and neurological complications and is committed to helping his patients achieve their fullest potential.

Brent Bogucki, BSc., CO(c)

Brent joined the team at OrthoProActive in 2019. He graduated from the Kinesiology program at the  University of Western Ontario in 2008. He worked for several years as a registered Kinesiologist before completing the Clinical Methods in Prosthetic and Orthotics program through George Brown College in 2015. He received his certification after completing  exams through Orthotics Prosthetics Canada in 2018. Prior to joining the OrthoProActive team, Brent worked with both adult and paediatric populations at the Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre in Hamilton and Back2feet Inc. in Toronto.

Jan Skolud, BSc., CO(c)

Jan started with OrthoProActive in the summer of 2019 as an Orthotic Resident. He earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo. Jan began as a full-time member of the team after he graduated from the Clinical Methods in Prosthetics and Orthotics Program and the Orthotics/Prosthetic technician program at George Brown College. He received his certification after completing exams through Orthotics Prosthetics Canada in 2022. Jan believes that each patient is unique and requires a customized treatment plan. 

 

Lucie Kazikova, RTO

Lucie Kazikova is a Registered Orthotic Technician. Lucie came to OrthoProActive in 2005 after graduating from the Technical Methods in Orthotics and Prosthetics program at George Brown College. Lucie received her Registered Technician status, R.T.O., in 2007 after successfully completing the Canadian Board for Certification in Prosthetics and Orthotics registration exam. Lucie is active in the field and is responsible for the continuing education and supervision of technical interns, students and volunteers at OrthoProActive.


Wendy Bott, Orthotic Technician

Wendy joined OrthoProActive in 2016 after completing the Technical Methods in Prosthetics and Orthotics at George Brown College. Prior to that, she had a successful career managing employee benefit programs for some of Canada’s largest employers. Wendy volunteers her time with Orthotics Prosthetics Canada as a member of the Marketing and Communications committee and George Brown College on special initiatives. She is a graduate of Queen’s University with degrees in Arts and Education.


Norma Jean Nowicki, Orthotic Technician Intern

Norma Jean is a graduate of the Technical Methods in Prosthetics and Orthotics at George Brown College. She joined OrthoProActive in 2021 with 15+ years experience as a custom seating technician where she worked as part of a multidisciplinary team providing custom seating solutions related to wound prevention and postural management. She also holds certifications in Ride designs custom seating and health services management. 


 
 

Babara Zehr, Office Manager 

Babara has been with OrthoProActive Consultants since 2002 and holds the position of office manager/account administrator for both the Markham and Newmarket clinics.  Babara’s previous medical experience makes her extremely knowledgeable and efficient with respect to all areas of the administrative portion of your orthotic needs. With many years of customer service experience Babara is able to answer your questions, book your appointments and act as a liaison between you and your clinician.   Babara's goal is to ensure that any contact with the front office is simple and pleasurable.


 
 

James Henderson, RTO

James Henderson is a Registered Orthotic Technician with Orthotics Prosthetics Canada. He completed his education in the Technical Methods in Prosthetics and Orthotics at George Brown College in 2009. He joined OrthoProActive in 2009. James completed his registration exams in 2011. James has a sound knowledge of machinery and tools learned through his hobbies of woodworking and carpentry. These additional skills are quite valuable to the team at OrthoProActive.
